Alcuni verbi vogliono l'aggettivo dopo, riferito al soggetto e non a un sostantivo che segue.
| Verbo | Esempio |
|---|---|
| be | She is tired. |
| seem, appear | He seems happy. |
| look | You look great. |
| feel | I feel sick. |
| sound | That sounds interesting. |
| taste, smell | It tastes good. |
| get, become | It got dark. |
Aggettivo, non avverbio
Dopo questi verbi va l'aggettivo, perchΓ© descrive il soggetto:
- It smells good. β β It smells well. β
- She looks beautiful. β
Attenzione
Feel good e feel well esistono entrambi ma dicono cose diverse: I feel good riguarda l'umore, I feel well la salute.
E ricorda che questi verbi non vogliono il riflessivo: I feel tired, non I feel myself tired.
