Nella parte riportata l'ordine torna quello della frase affermativa, e do / does / did spariscono.

Attenzione
È esattamente la stessa regola delle domande indirette (23.2), e lo stesso errore: mantenere l'inversione.
- He asked me where the station was. ✅
- He asked me where was the station. ❌
Il did della domanda diretta non si riporta: il tempo passa sul verbo principale, che arretra. Did she call? diventa had called, non did call.
