Le stesse tre preposizioni valgono per il tempo, con la stessa logica: dal periodo più ampio al momento più preciso.

- at night, ma in the morning / afternoon / evening
- on Monday morning → quando c'è il giorno, vince on
- at the weekend (britannico), on the weekend (americano)
Attenzione
Non si usa nessuna preposizione con next, last, this, every:
- I'll see you next week. ✅ — in next week ❌
- She called last night. ✅ — on last night ❌
