Nella parte incorporata l'ordine torna quello della frase affermativa: niente inversione e niente do.

Attenzione
Questo è l'errore più grave di tutto il capitolo, e lo fanno quasi tutti gli italiani: mantenere l'inversione anche nella parte incorporata.
- Could you tell me where the station is? ✅
- Could you tell me where is the station? ❌
- Do you know what time it is? ✅
- Do you know what time is it? ❌
Il punto interrogativo dipende dall'apertura, non dalla parte incorporata: Could you tell me…? è una domanda, I wonder… è un'affermazione e finisce con un punto.
