← 11 The future with "will" and "going to"

11.3 Negatives and questions

Entrambe le forme si comportano come tutte le altre: si nega e si inverte l'ausiliare, senza mai chiamare in causa do.

Con "will"

  • I won't be late.
  • Will you come with us?

Con "going to"

L'ausiliare Γ¨ be, quindi valgono le sue regole:

  • She isn't going to call.
  • Are you going to tell him?

Attenzione

Do you will come? mette due ausiliari dove ne serve uno: si dice Will you come?

Nelle domande, will serve spesso a chiedere un favore: Will you close the window? Γ¨ una richiesta, non una previsione.
